Christopher Range, MSS, CSCS is the fitness director at Peninsula Wellness Center in Marina. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, he completed his undergraduate program with a bachelor of science degree in biology and human genetics from the University of Nebraska. His education includes a dual master’s degree in sports coaching and sports management from the United States Sports Academy. Chris is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He recently attained the Titlist Performance Institute Certification as a level 1 golf fitness instructor. Chris is a former sports performance enhancement coach; he worked with 500 athletes each year and trained more than 50 professional athletes, including NFL players and Olympians. He has been recognized as one of the top 20 master trainers within a network of 160 sports training facilities. Since 2005, Chris has worked in a hospital wellness center environment where he continues to manage sports performance training as well as develop customized personal training and wellness coaching programs for all ages and abilities. Chris is published author and frequent presenter to sports and coaching organizations, addressing such topics as sports coaching, wellness coaching, sports performance enhancement, and other contemporary issues in sport and fitness.
